Pick the workload, not the machine
Say what the server is for — web, app, database, file, game, email — and the order form ranks every machine Recommended, Workable or Undersized with the reason, presets the volume, and installs only what that workload needs.
Photos, files and media you own
Immich, PhotoPrism, Nextcloud, Jellyfin and File Browser, deployed whole — bundled database, library on block storage, an upload-sized proxy, and a certificate. Not a container you then have to configure.
Your own Git server
A managed Gitea on your infrastructure domain: repositories, pull requests, issues, access control and Actions CI. Create a repo, deploy it as an app, and the push webhook registers itself.
Push to deploy
Deploy from Gitea, GitHub, GitLab or any Git URL. Signed push webhooks build and restart the container. Node.js, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, Java and .NET, each with its own release and a rollback.
Seven database engines
MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka and Memcached. One-click install, data on block storage, credentials minted straight into your vault.
Email on your own domain
Mailboxes, aliases and stored mail on your server — we keep no copy. Outbound goes through an SMTP relay: bring your own and it costs nothing, because sending directly from a cloud IP is how mail ends up in spam.
Front Door routing
Built-in nginx reverse proxy. SSL termination and renewal, hostname and path routing, TCP database tunnels, and one infrastructure domain covering registry, Git, webmail and observability.
Move data without downtime
Copy a database or store to block storage, another volume or another server while it keeps serving. Verified by SHA-256 manifest, tested as a second live instance, promoted only on your word, reversible for a week.
Hardened before you get it
UFW, fail2ban, SSH key auth and unattended security updates on every server. Secrets encrypted in a vault you can hold the key to, and a command log that redacts credentials and expires.

A platform is a complete product we install whole — you pick it and name a domain, and the containers, the database, the storage layout, the proxy, the certificate and the admin account are ours to get right.
The library lives on a block volume, so removing the platform keeps your data and deleting it is a separate thing you have to ask for. The proxy is built for uploads and streaming rather than web pages — no body-size cap, no buffering, hour-long timeouts — which is the part that makes a self-hosted photo library actually usable.

Common questions
Do I need sysadmin experience?
No. Simplewala handles server setup, security hardening, SSL certificates, and software installation automatically. If you can use a web browser, you can manage your server. Full root access is there when you want it.
What exactly is Simplewala?
Dashboard-as-a-Service for hosting management. We are the control panel, not the data centre. The server is provisioned in your account with full root access; what you are paying us for is the automation and the dashboard that operates it — provisioning, hardening, installs, routing, SSL, backups, and monitoring.
Which cloud providers can I use?
DigitalOcean and Microsoft Azure. Regions are whatever the provider actually offers, synced from their API rather than hardcoded, and our price is the same in every one of them — so the region is a latency and data-residency decision, not a budget one.
Can I replace Google Photos, Google Drive or a streaming subscription?
Yes — that is what Platforms are for. Immich and PhotoPrism for photos, Nextcloud and File Browser for files and sync, Jellyfin for streaming. Each is installed complete with its own database, its library on a block volume, and a proxy configured for large uploads rather than web pages.
Can I host my own Git server?
Yes. A managed Gitea instance runs on your infrastructure domain with repositories, pull requests, issues, access control and Actions CI, and deploying a repo as an app registers the push webhook for you. One thing to know first: one-click sign-in lands everyone on a shared administrator account, so per-user commit attribution needs individual Gitea logins today.
What languages and frameworks are supported?
Node.js, Python, PHP, .NET, Java, Go, and Ruby as containerized runtime apps, plus WordPress, Ghost, Joomla and Drupal as managed CMS installs, any Docker image, and static sites. Push-to-deploy works for all of them.
What databases are available?
MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, and Memcached. All installed in one click, with data on persistent block storage and credentials generated into your secrets vault.
Can I send email from my server?
Yes, through an SMTP relay — and it is worth knowing why. Cloud providers block outbound port 25 because IP reputation is shared, and we block it too; one spamming sender would otherwise ruin deliverability for everyone in the range. Bring your own relay (SendGrid, SES, Mailgun, Postmark, SMTP2GO and others) and we charge nothing for it, or use ours, which is metered per recipient past your allowance.
How does billing work?
You pay one flat monthly price for the server size you choose: the cloud provider’s infrastructure cost plus our markup, and that markup is the dashboard fee rather than an extra on top of a subscription. No tiers, no per-seat charges, every feature included at every size. The only usage-metered item is outbound email on the platform relay, and only past your tier’s allowance.
Can I migrate from another host?
Yes. There are migration wizards for WordPress and CMS apps, Git apps and databases, with a pre-flight that checks requirements before anything moves. Your old host stays live until you switch DNS, so there is no forced downtime.
Do I get root access?
Yes. Full SSH root access on every server. Install anything, edit any config. Simplewala automates the hard parts but never hides the server from you.
