Simplewala (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Simplewala cloud hosting platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our services.

Data we collect

Account data: email address, name, and hashed password when you register.
Billing data: payment method details are processed by Stripe and not stored on our servers.
Server metadata: IP addresses, configuration, and usage statistics for servers you provision.
Usage logs: request logs, error logs, and command history for troubleshooting and security.

How we use your data

To provision and manage your cloud servers
To send transactional emails (invoices, alerts, support replies)
To detect and prevent abuse and security incidents
To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns

Data retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion. Usage logs are retained for 90 days. Server data is deleted when a server is terminated.

Third-party services

Stripe: payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
DigitalOcean / Hetzner: cloud infrastructure. Your server IP and region are shared with the selected provider.
SendGrid: transactional email delivery.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@simplewala.com.
